Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 13, 2026 (SMS terms added)

The Pam Avery Campaign ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information you provide through votepamavery.com (the "Site").

Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, message content, and volunteer interests when you submit a contact or volunteer form. When you make a contribution, our payment processor (Anedot) collects the information required by Florida campaign finance law, including your occupation and employer for contributions over the reporting threshold.

We also automatically collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages visited. This is collected through standard analytics tools (Google Analytics 4) and is used in aggregate to understand site usage.

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your messages and volunteer inquiries
  • To process and report campaign contributions as required by law
  • To send campaign updates, event invitations, and fundraising appeals
  • To comply with state and federal campaign finance reporting requirements
  • To improve the Site and understand how supporters engage with us

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Government agencies as required by Florida and federal campaign finance law (contributions of $100 or more are public record).
  • Service providers who help us operate the campaign (payment processing, email delivery, hosting, analytics) under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal authorities when required by law or to protect our rights.

Public Disclosure of Contributions

Florida law requires that contributions of $100 or more be publicly reported, including the contributor's name, address, occupation, and employer. By contributing, you acknowledge this information will become part of the public record.

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and measure traffic. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not function properly. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage; you can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Email Communications

If you provide your email address, we may send you campaign updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can unsubscribe here at any time.

Text Message (SMS) Communications

If you check the SMS opt-in box and provide your mobile phone number on our contact form, you expressly consent to receive recurring text messages from the Pam Avery Campaign related to the campaign, including updates, event invitations, volunteer opportunities, get-out-the-vote reminders, and fundraising appeals. Messages may be sent using an automated system.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase, contribution, or volunteer activity. You can decline to opt in and still contact the campaign, contribute, or volunteer.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to opt out: You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send you a confirmation message and you will not receive additional text messages from the campaign. If you want to re-subscribe later, sign up again through our contact form.

For help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact the campaign through our contact form.

We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and consent records are used only to deliver the messages described above and, where required, to comply with applicable law (including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act).

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you (subject to legal recordkeeping requirements for campaign contributions). Contact us using the information below.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
